ABORTION IN THE 956

This project was a collaboration between Souther Recio and South Texans for Reproductive Justice (STRJ). This interactive instillation was put together with the hopes of destigmatizing and raising awareness about self managed abortions. This instillation was inspired by our community here in the 956, designed to reflect neighbors, sisters, tias, or even ourselves. Texans are adjusting to living in a post row world, and communities like ours our often disproportionally affected. On display at Cactus Valley Art December 2025.
